Here’s how we got here…

Now this is a story all about how
Recruitment got flipped, turned upside down
And I’d like to take a minute. Just sit right there
I’ll tell you how we built TRE from a blank, beige stare. 
In West Midlands, born and raised
Recruitment’s where we watched the chaos blaze 
Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool
While the industry played by outdated rules. 
When a couple of guys, who were way too good
Started their own desk in the neighbourhood 
We had one clear goal, gonna shake this town
Empower top recruiters and take back the crown  
Gave em’ tools, tech, and support on the side
Build a brand with no bull, just results and pride 
If anything, I could say that this bet was bold
But we thought, “Nah, forget it, let’s break the mould”

We don’t just throw CVs at the wall and hope something sticks. We champion people, prep them properly, follow up (imagine that!), and fight for salaries that don’t make anyone cringe. The roles we work on? Proper ones, full-time, part-time, hybrid, remote, if it’s worth your time, it’s on our radar.

Ex-estate agent. Lifelong straight-talker. Founder of The Recruitment Experts, and proud believer that recruitment doesn’t need to be boring beige… just TRE beige.

After 10 years in sales and property, James set out to fix what he hated most about recruitment: the ghosting, the corporate greed, and the pointless KPIs. He built TRE to give great recruiters the tools, tech, and freedom to enjoy the job again, and in turn, provide clients and candidates with a service that’s honest, fast, and results-first.

These days, James splits his time between growing the business, training the next wave of recruiters, running the occasional ultramarathon (yes, really), and trying to keep up with his son Sterling… the real boss of the house. No ego. No nonsense. Just a guy who actually gives a sh*t.
