Job Title: Portfolio Manager (Remote)

Salary: £59,000 – £69,000 per annum
 
 
We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to take ownership of investment strategy and portfolio performance across a diverse client base. This role focuses on delivering strong risk-adjusted returns while operating within clearly defined investment policies and regulatory frameworks.

What you’ll be doing:

• Develop and implement asset allocation strategies across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments
• Conduct in-depth analysis of global macroeconomic trends, sector movements, and individual securities
• Make informed buy and sell decisions to ensure portfolios remain aligned with target allocations and risk tolerances
• Monitor portfolio performance and carry out rebalancing activity where required
• Communicate portfolio performance, market insights, and investment outlooks clearly and effectively
• Act in line with fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory and governance requirements, including AML and investor disclosure obligations

To succeed in the role you’ll be or have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a numerically focused discipline (Master’s degree or MBA preferred)
• CFA qualification strongly preferred; additional certifications such as CAIA, FRM, or relevant FINRA licences advantageous
• Advanced financial modelling skills, with strong proficiency in Excel and exposure to Python or R
• Solid understanding of risk and performance metrics (e.g. VaR, Sharpe ratio)
• Experience using portfolio management and analytics platforms
• Strong decision-making ability, particularly in fast-moving market conditions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear investment narratives
