Job Title: Systems and Project Accountant
Location: London
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 per annum
 
 
We are recruiting on behalf of a client seeking a Systems and Project Accountant to support financial systems development and lead key finance transformation projects. This role will focus on improving financial reporting processes and supporting system implementations within the finance function.
The position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, systems, and business transformation.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Lead finance-related systems projects and process improvement initiatives
• Support implementation and optimisation of financial systems
• Work closely with finance and IT teams to enhance reporting capabilities
• Develop and maintain financial reporting processes and controls
• Analyse financial data to support decision-making and business strategy
• Assist with system testing, upgrades, and integrations
• Ensure finance processes comply with regulatory and governance requirements

To succeed in the role you’ll be or have:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Experience working with financial systems and finance transformation projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools
• Ability to manage projects and work with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management ability
